• Skibbereen Community School (map)

A trip to The Waterford Greenway has been organised for Transition Year students on Thursday the 25th of April 2024. The students will cycle 46 kilometres from Waterford City to Dungarvan along the old railway line. We will be stopping along the way at various points including lunch in Kilmacthomas. Lunch is included in the price.

Students must wear suitable clothing for the trip and a cycling helmet. Those turning up on the day without one will be turned away. They must bring a bottle of water.

It is essential that all students must wear a helmet. They will not be allowed on the trip without a helmet.

Students going on the trip need to be able to cycle a bike.

It is advised to bring a change of clothes in a plastic bag that they can change into after the cycle if they get wet.

The Bus will leave Skibbereen Community School at 8:00 sharp and return to the school at 8:00 PM.

Since this is a School trip, the students will be required to follow the teachers’ instructions and Event organisers at all times and abide by the School’s Code of Behaviour.

You will be requested to inform us of any medical conditions in the online permission form below. If this is the case, please ensure that they have their necessary medication with them for the trip.

Please Note: No Students will be allowed to depart the bus on the return Journey at any time, other than Skibbereen, unless the student is being collected by a parent/guardian by prior arrangement.
