5th Year Agricultural Science Farm Talk

5th year Agricultural Science students were entertained by an educational talk by a young Manchester farmer Henry Dale from Dale Farm.

His talk stemmed from their 9000 acre dairy and cereal farms based in Manchester and South Scotland, and he highlighted the advantages Irish farming has on a global setting.

The students were very appreciative and respected this young farmer sharing his experiences and knowledge.

TY London Trip

The TYs had a great trip to London.

They began day one with a guided tour of London taking in Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, Big Ben, The London Eye to name just a few.

Afterwards they headed to “The Lion King” at the West End.

Day two had trips to the Science Museum and National Army Museum before doing a river Thames tour. They wrapped up the day with some bowling.

Day three and their final day started out with some shopping in Europe’s biggest shopping centre Westfield, before heading to Craven Cottage to take in a premier league game between Fulham and Bournemouth. A cracking 3-1 home win insured a great atmosphere.

The last leg of their tour took them through Heathrow Airport where they bumped into Irish international and Luton Town player Chiedozie Ogbene who kindly jumped in for a photo with some of the students.

A great trip for all the students and teachers leading into the mid-term break.

TY Spanish Trip - Day 2

Probamos paella y mariscos. Jugamos juegos de de mesa juntos antes de acostarnos.

¡Lo pasamos fenomenal!
