We are so proud of you Katie and wish you the very best with all your future ventures.
Congrats and well done again from everyone in SCS 👏
Well done to class 1F who took part in the carepack.ie initiative.
This is a kindness initiative run by volunteers that connect residents in a nursing or care home with a kind volunteer who would like to send them a little gift for Christmas.
Each student wrote a personalised letter and sent a gift to the resident that they were matched with.
It is great to see the students spreading some Christmas cheer!
3rd Year students recently attended a seminar on Study Skills and the importance of putting a plan in place and being organised over the coming months.
Many thanks to the Guidance Department and Ms. Ronan who led the presentation.
Well done to our TY students and teacher Ms. Brennan for taking part in “Sing for Simon” on Friday last in Field’s SuperValu, Skibbereen.

Today, the 5th year Agricultural Science classes paid a visit to the dairy farm of Donal and Marie Tobin in Rosscarbery.
The students were given a very informative tour of the farm. Donal covered numerous topics on the Leaving Cert course such as sustainability, breeding, grassland management, technology, nutrition and food production.
We were then treated to some delicious Carbery cheese and hot chocolate!
Donal's enthusiasm for farming and his wealth of knowledge really made for a thoroughly enjoyable and educational trip.
Thank you to both Donal and Marie for having us on your farm.
On Wednesday, David Sheehy of Boveq Scanning Services very kindly came in to speak to the 5th year agricultural science classes about scanning and A.I. He even brought in a cow's reproductive system.
The students learned about EBI, different dairy breeds, the benefits of A.I, sex semen, synchronisation and much more.
It was a very informative and enjoyable talk. Thank you for visiting us David.
Best wishes to our current & former students and staff member Ms. O’Donovan who represent O’Donovan Rossa in the Junior Ladies All-Ireland Final this Sunday in Parnell Park, Dublin at 2pm.

This week was the final Digital-Drop In workshop of the pilot series.
Over a total of six workshops, older adult participants have engaged with volunteer mentors from TY to exchange and develop digital skills across a variety of digital devices and applications.
Whether a novice or an improver, the one-to-one learning exchange meant that participants truly engaged in the principles of intergenerational learning: learning from one another, learning with one another, learning about one another.
A nice close out was the presentation of certificates of participation by mentors to their learners.
Well done to everyone involved and we look forward to developing a library of resources from the content we covered to share more widely in the spring.
Many thanks to Mr. Anton O’ Mahony, Mr Conor Uhl, Ms Orla O’Sullivan for organising and Dr. Sandra Flynn for facilitating.
Hard luck to our First and Second Year Girls Soccer Team and their coaches, Ms. Orla Higgins , Mr. Ger Carey and First Aider, Mr. Chris O Brien on losing to Carrigtwohill in the Cork Cup on Dec 1st.
