Congratulations to our U17 Boys Soccer Team and their coaches, Mr. Cathal McCarthy and Mr. Brendan Doherty on their Cup win today. They faced very tough opposition from Carrigaline who are a very good team. It was a cracking match on the school pitch with great home support. The game finished level at full time with Jack O Brien scoring our only goal. The full panel played their hearts out by tackling, closing down and passing their way out of trouble. Goalkeeper Cormac McCarthy saved the team on a number of occassions. The defence, midfield and wingers dug in before Fiachra Collins found the net with three minutes to go before the looming penalty shootout. Exciting stuff and exciting times to come. Well done to all.

Saoi O Connor, 5th Year is a renowned Climate Activist and Environmentalist. She was one of the first students in Ireland to support the “Friday’s For Future” campaign and has a significant media presence. She is seen here interviewing Mr. Richard Bruton, Minister for Communications, Climate Action and the Environment.

Tuesday - Hard luck to the U19 Boys Basketball Team who lost their Cup match to GaelCholaiste Clonmel on a scoreline of 49 points to 42.
Well done to the Junior Womens’s Rugby Teams who won enough games at the Munster Schools Rugby Blitz in C.I.T to qualify for the finals next week.
Well done to the U19 Girls Basketball Team who beat St.Mary’s of Midleton in the league. That makes it three wins out of three for them.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, it has been necessary to postpone the pedal-powered cinema schedule for tomorrow evening Thursday October 17th.
All students who have collected sponsorship money should bring it to Mrs. Keating in school tomorrow for safekeeping until the event is run.
