Congrats to the U15 Boys Rugby Team who beat Schull and Ross yesterday but narrowly lost to Bantry in the Munster Rugby School's  Blitz held in Skibb R.F.C. Thanks to their coaches, Mr.Paul Cross and Ms.Kathleen Martin. Thanks to Mr. Ray Gadston from Munster Rugby for organising.

The First match V Bantry proved to be the biggest challenge. With the last play of the match, Bantry cut through our defence and scored the only try of the match.

Our second match against Schull was a different affair with 5 tries and 3 conversions scored. Robbie Minihane, Tom Kavanagh, Dean O Flynn, Jamie O Driscoll and Captain Donnachadh Maguire were all on the score sheet.

The 3rd and final match against Rosscarbery saw us run in 6 tries whilst only conceding one. Try scorers included Jamie O Driscoll, Robbie Minihane, Luke O Connell, Darragh Coombes, James O Neill and Connie Ronan.

Well done to the whole squad who did a great job. Thanks to Ms. Mags Coombes and Skibb RFC for organising the venue.

LGBTI Stand Up Awareness Week

Well done to all who took part in 'Stand Up Awareness Week' from 13th-17th November, 2017 in SPHE class. It is one of the largest anti-bullying weeks in schools.

Participating also helps to meet the requirements of the Department of Education’s Anti-Bullying Procedures. It is a great opportunity to discuss what it means to be LGBTI, the challenges and the devastating impact homophobic bullying can have on students.

Cork Film Festival

Euroscola Competition

The school community wishes the best of luck to those 5th year students who have made a film for this year’s Euroscola competition. They are in with a chance to win a trip to Strasbourg.

Well done to Muirios Waugh who directed the film and to Niamh Lynch who was the assistant director. A huge amount of work went into this to research “why young people vote in the European elections”.

Well done to the following students who feature in the clip: Jemma Barrett, Eimear Collins, Daniel McCarthy, John McCarthy, Kate O’Connell and Katie Cronin.
