Skibbereen Community School ran another very successful attendance initiative today.
Our principal Mr. Anton O Mahony organised the event to promote good attendance.
Our year heads and senior management team visited all our classes wishing everyone a Happy Easter! Students were encouraged to have a wonderful Easter before returning refreshed for the last term.
Everyone in the school community will be encouraged to have full attendance in the run up to the summer. It is a bit like today if you are not in you can’t win and if you are out you lose out!
Today’s initiative was to acknowledge those who come to school. Attendance matters. Every school day counts and this is reflected in our students’ results. We want everyone to be the best they can be and every student can achieve by simply turning up! You can’t achieve your dreams if you don’t show up to chase them.
There will be a big drive in SCS from now until the end of the year to encourage full attendance for everyone with plenty more surprises along the way.
As the Easter bunny bounces off to deliver more eggs we are wishing you all an Eggcellent Easter!
