On Friday, May 16th a Simcox Medal Presentation was held for the Senior Boys Football Team of 2022. Mr. John Cleary, Cork Senior Football Manager made the presentation and recalled his own Simcox win in 1981 with the team from De La Salle. Mr. David Whelton, the Senior Coach in 2022 described the journey that year and Mr. Anton O Mahony, Principal described how the footballing success in the Corn Uí Mhuirí and Simcox Cup set the standard for years to come. He also acknowleged the huge contribution made by coaches , Mr. David Whelton, Mr. Colman O Driscoll, Mr. James McCarthy, Mr. Paudie Crowley and First Aider Mr. Chris O Brien. It was a lovely occasion for the lads to meet so many thanks to those who could attend.
