After our latest matches, Skibbereen Community School 2nd year boys are top of Pool B,  while the 1st year team lie second in their pool.

Both teams recorded comfortable victories against Christian Brothers before the midterm, 1st years by a margin of 51 to 29 and the 2nd years 43 to 17.

On Monday, both teams faced tough matches against Crosshaven in top of the table clashes.

The 1st year game was a rip roaring high tempo affair and not for the faint hearted. We lost by a score of 42 to 37 but are determined to learn valuable lessons from this defeat for the upcoming knockout phases

In a repeat of last year's county final, where it took two periods of extra time to find a winner, the 2nd years faced up to a much anticipated contest. On this occasion, we recorded our best result coming away winners by a 17 point margin with man of the match Mark FitzGerald razor sharp from the 3 point line.

Onwards and upwards boys.
