Skibbereen Community School marked its first Christmas with a fun filled day. It began with all first years witnessing the turning on of the Christmas tree lights in the General Assembly Area. Santa paid a special visit and handed out a mountain of sweets. They then held their own Christmas party and were first in line to get the Christmas dinner from the canteen. All years joined them for a lunchtime concert performed by the legendary singer, Mr. John Spillane. The entire community wore their Christmas Jumpers which raised 1200 Euro for the Aurelia Trust Charity and our own Learning Resource Centre. Mr. Anton O'Mahony, our Principal wished all students and their families a very Happy Christmas. The School wishes to thank the Religion Department, The Music Department, The L.R.C Department and Mr.John Spillane for making the day so memorable.
